Honoring the Hive, Sweetening The World For Over 100 Years

Ashurst American Honey is a family and women owned company born from five generations of dedication to beekeeping and the honey industry. For over 100 years, our family has honored the hive by working together, solving problems, and building lasting relationships. Today, Ashurst American Honey remains grounded in our roots as beekeepers, farmers, and stewards of the land.

Our story begins in 1918, when Julian Ashurst started beekeeping in Southern California. In 1968, his son Delvin founded American Honey, building on the family legacy and establishing a trusted name in honey supply. In 1988, Buddy Ashurst purchased and expanded the business as Bud Ashurst American Honey, setting new standards for quality, consistency, and traceability.

Today, President Missy Ashurst Foott carries on the family’s legacy. Through our portfolio of industrial and foodservice brands, we combine our love of beekeeping with a commitment to thoughtful innovation and deep relationships, cultivating a future of continued sweet success.
